Welcome to Our Practice
We Love Meeting New Patients
Here at Downtown Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, part of easing your concerns is explaining what you can expect from our practice. When you are new to our office, we put in the effort to provide you with a positive and comforting experience.
We focus on providing quality dental care, excellent customer service, and a relaxing environment, and we consider your first visit the start of a long-term relationship with you.
What to Expect
Your First Visit
01
Before You Arrive
When you are referred to our practice, we gather your insurance information and dental history upfront, so you don’t have to worry about coverage during your appointment. Completing your patient forms ahead of time helps your visit run smoothly.
02
Your Initial Evaluation
Your first visit includes a thorough half-hour evaluation with Dr. McCann or Dr. Atlasi. We perform various tests, including digital x-rays and, when needed, a CBCT 3D scan, to assess the condition of your oral health.
03
A Plan Made for You
Your periodontist explains the findings in clear terms and creates a treatment plan based on your unique needs. We discuss your options, cost, and coverage, then schedule your next appointment, so you are never left in the dark.
Why Patients Choose Us
Experienced Periodontists, Modern Technology
Dr. Charles McCann, D.D.S., M.S., has led Downtown Periodontics & Implant Dentistry since 1999, and Dr. Sam Atlasi, D.D.S., M.S., completed his periodontics training at Mayo Clinic. Together, they provide periodontal treatment and dental implant placement for patients referred by general dentists and other specialists.
Digital x-rays, CBCT scans when needed, and digital impressions give your periodontist the detailed information needed to create a treatment plan suited to your unique smile.
