I saw Dr. McHake for root planing and cleaning in August. Dr McHale and her assistant were very kind, very skilled and competent. They put me at ease when my anxiety about the procedure was through the roof. They asked for my feedback about how it was feeling and whether more anesthetic was needed, and they listened to me, allowing me to take a break when necessary. They and the front desk staff also accommodated my last minute need to do the procedures in one session instead of two. Dr. McHale thoroughly explained everything with as much detail as I wanted. Everyone in the office is friendly and attentive. I could not have asked for a better experience, which is important because I need to return for some procedures with Dr Mc Cann, and now I have much Jess trepidation.

It was just a cleaning appointment but yesterday I actually had fun. I finally learned how to handle the device that socks moisture from your mouth. It was no big deal but we laughed and laughed as I looked like my brains were being sucked out until I finally got it The hygenist's sense of humor about it was great.

Dr McCann and his team were superlative in every way. They were very kind, thoughtful and thorough in explaining and then performing the implant I have. Dr McCann is a technical superstar, explained things as he was doing them, he was gentle and his assistant was wonderful in working with him. They were never rushed and were very helpful in answering questions and giving thorough follow up care instructions. It was the best experience I’ve had in a dental office ever.

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. McCann by my primary dentist as a needed to have specific dental procedure done, and have been going to Dr. McCann for the about the last year. I have had several "rounds" of treatment and each time have been impressed with Dr. McCann and everyone his office - they are all the consummate professionals, very efficient and knowledgable, so pleasant, friendly, and put you at ease. Dr. McCann explains the procedure and follow up thoroughly and in a manner which a "non-dental professional" can understand and makes it clear that he and his staff are available if there are follow-up questions afterwards. I really appreciate the follow up call the next day and feel that I am in great hands with Dr. McCann and his team.

A couple of years ago, I searched for a periodontist who had a good reputation and convenient location. I have been pleased to be a patient of Dr. McCann and his team since that first visit. I’ve had several perio treatments / procedures and all have gone well. Though the location is not so convenient for me anymore, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for perio care so make the drive to Minneapolis. It’s worth it. Thanks for helping me save my smile!

I was very pleased with my first experience at Downtown Periodontal. I saw Dr McCann promptly at my appointment time, not a usual occurrence for a medical appointment visit. After an examination, the Doctor determined no treatment was necessary at this time. Should the need arise I would be very comfortable seeing Dr McCann. Comfortable office with courteous staff.
